A Love Made New by Kathleen Fuller is an Amish romance novel. It was written as #3 to the Amish of Birch Creek novel series. Unfortunately, I haven’t read the others. So reading this one was a challenge for me.
Not only do I have a hard time reading romance novels, but following more than one person’s story in a book is hard for me too. Especially when they’re all so similar. All of the characters in this book have a lot of similarities in how they talk, act, and think. The only differences that I felt were the way that they were described in looks.
The main thing that kept me reading this book was the stories of overcoming personal insecurities and following God’s voice in unknown situations. The characters in this book definitely did those two things!
Otherwise, I feel like this isn’t a book that I would pick to read in a store. Mostly, because I don’t necessarily enjoy this genre.
I feel like I may have enjoyed it more if I would’ve read the other parts of the Amish of Birch Creek novels. I wish I could honestly say that I am planning on reading the other novels to gain more interest in this book, but I’m not going to. I don’t plan to read the other series.
I would recommend this book to those that have read the other Birch Creek novels and want to continue the stories of the characters.
I was given this book from booklookbloggers in exchange for an honest review.
